There are many punches that can be used as embellishments for your scrapbook or greeting card. There are so many different types that I couldn’t cover them all. Punches can be by theme, like leaves for fall pages or snowflakes for winter. There are punches of many types of flowers. Some of these flower punches come in different sizes and can be layered and held together with brads or eyelets or glued together with glue dots and embellished with jewels, beads or small buttons.

Embossing punches are also available. These don’t actually make holes, but they leave an impression on the paper, known as embossing. These embossing punches can be used with a very easy technique: Emboss the image on a card, or page, and then cover it will glue and sprinkle on glitter. To make the image even more distinctive, rub it with an embossing glue pen, sprinkle embossing powder on it and then use a heat gun, some hair dryers also work, and heat up the item. Be sure to follow the instructions on the heat gun closely, they get very hot. As the image heats up, it will become raised and more defined.
