Scrapbook layouts come in all shapes, designs and colors

Scrapbook layouts…it sounds so easy, but the possibilities are endless. Scrapbook layouts start with your scrapbook theme.  Once you’ve picked your theme, before you can start your scrapbook layouts, you’ll need to decide on a color scheme and then pick your papers.

Scrapbook layouts can be fun and simple to elegant. It may sound like an elegant layout will take a long time, but that is not true. Here, the embellishments you will use are what make the difference. You can use any picture and make it simple and fun or formal and elegant. Below are some examples of fun and simple scrapbook layouts:

Another thing you’ll need to determine is if you are creating an entire album with these scrapbook layouts or just pages in a fun album. I like fun albums because you can use whatever type of layout you want throughout the album and it doesn’t matter. For example, maybe you like to scrapbook for your children by years. It’s really hard to have a themed album for this. You’ll probably be including school pictures, which might include sports or other activities. And, don’t forget those winter and summer break pictures. Here are a few magazines that always have great layout examples.

Scrapbook layouts can be done easily with scrapbook kits. There are so many that are available to you, either digitally or handmade. For those of you who prefer to do your scrapbook layouts digitally, I was recently given some information I never knew. You can send your digital scrapbook layout to places like Wal-Mart and they will process and print them! I did a Google search for 12×12 printers and found places that will print your pages and mail them to you. One site I found will print your scrapbook layouts and even bind them in a binder! They will also do multiple printings so you can send them to members of your family or friends.

There are many examples of scrapbook layouts either thru search engines or many digital scrapbook sites have places where you can view layouts and even post your layouts, if you wish. I also get a lot of ideas from looking at scrapbooking catalogs. Sometimes, just browsing thru a store or magazine will help to give you some fun ideas on creating your scrapbook layouts.
